bullet  General Notes:

According to the "History of Armstrong County, Pennsylvania", Andrew settled in Cumberland County after immigrating. He resided there until his move to McKeesport, Allegheny County where he resided "several years" until his move to Armstrong County [which was in 1799, according to his pension record]. His marriage to Mary Bamford occurred in 1770 in Chester County. Chester County was a long way from Cumberland County. What was he doing there. Did they reside at all in Chester after their marriage? It has been suggested that he was enumerated in the 1790 census of Chester County; however, there were several Andrew's listed in Mifflin, Washington, and Westmoreland counties, any of which could have been this Andrew, or none at all.
